Scholars in Exile

Endangered Scholars Worldwide event April 8, 2011

Endangered Scholars Worldwide is an initiative of the flagship journal of The New School for Social Research, Social Research: An International Quarterly, launched in 2007. It is dedicated to raising public awareness and support for intellectuals, academics, researchers, and students who have been threatened, silenced, or imprisoned for simply doing their scholarly work or speaking out against the injustices around them. In the opening pages of each issue of Social Research, we publicize the names and plights of these scholars and provide information about how to take action.
